About

Open collaboration for an open 6G innovation ecosystem

On November 19–20, 2026, the International Conference on Open Source Wireless Networks will be held in Chengdu. Under the theme “Open and Intelligentized 6G”, the conference addresses fully cloudified 6G architectures, native 6G intelligence, OpenAirInterface technology and applications, and the standardisation and industrial deployment of open-source communications.

As a new round of technological and industrial transformation unfolds, 6G has become a key field for global technological innovation and future industry. Open source, a vital link for international technical collaboration and shared innovation resources, is injecting new momentum into 6G technology, standards alignment and industrial development. To deepen international cooperation and build an open, collaborative 6G innovation ecosystem, the conference is hosted by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications together with the FuTURE Forum, the BUPT Future Communications Research Institute, EURECOM and the OAI Software Alliance.

The programme comprises keynotes, international sessions, thematic forums, academic paper exchange and an achievement exhibition, bringing together universities, research institutes, industry and international open-source organisations to discuss the future of wireless networks and the path of open cooperation. The conference will take this occasion to deepen cooperation in open-source wireless networks, advance joint research projects, technology transfer and international talent exchange, and build a global platform for collaborative innovation.
